Camp Shands

Troop 326 wins the Spirit Award!!

This year we decided to go out of Council and attend Camp Shands - North Florida Council, 9-13 Jun. It was a week that many of us will remember and talk about for a long time. This trip we had 4 adult leaders and 9 scouts attend. Much to our surprise, Troop 326 won more awards than other troops individually. Way to go troops! On top of the troop's accomplishments, the 4 adult leaders done just as good.

The camp staff ran with their tail between their legs as the Scout Masters were challenged to a game of "alternate volleyball". A game in which a rubber chicken, not a ball, was passed back and forth with a beach towel.

Accomplishments

Youth:

• Spirit Award

• 2 Patrol Awards

• 5 Honor Scouts

• Chaplain's Award

• 43 Merit Badges worked and 20 completed

Adults:

• All 4 adults earned the Scoutmaster Merit Badge (It's a big one!)

• Carlos, Rudy and Tim challenged themselves by going through C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) and earned the C.O.P.E. badge (What an experience!).

• All 4 adults shot well enough in archery to earn a NAA Arrow pin
