When we got to Tomahawk, the boys started to set up what they thought were tents but they were Dining flies. We set up the tents, then we set up the dining fly. The Troop 474 Scoutmaster had a cross with beads on it nicknamed the bead tree. If we did something wrong, he (or any other adult) would take a bead away from us. Sunday morning we got up, ate breakfast off of the Muck Truck, then we went to church outside. After church, we went back to camp for lunch and then went to our afternoon merit badge classes, but had to leave early so we could go big boat sailing. When we got to big boat sailing, it was canceled because there was no wind. After supper, we went to the Order of the Arrow callout. The OA campfire had skits and songs. The only rain for the week was when we were there. Monday morning was the start of morning merit badges. Some days we did camp service projects. At night, we had free time. Some boys played MAGIC cards on there free time. On Wednesday, we took the 5 mile hike to Foxfire. Foxfire had metal forging, a farm, a rope ladder, and tomahawk throwing. That day at lunch, we had Cheeseburgers in Paradise. That night, we went to Cayuga Campsite for a campfire. We made up a skit. On Friday, we had our morning merit badges, friday games, and our Court of Honor. Merit badges earned at camp were: Paul - Orienteering, Astronomy, Mammals, and Woodworking. Matthew - Fish and Wildlife Studies and Basketry. Aaron - First Aid. Ben - First Aid and Leatherworks. Dan - Horsemanship. Nick - First Aid and Rowing. Nick also made the rank of First Class during the week of camp.
