I had the great fortune to attend our local commissioners meeting here in Florida and listen
to Mr. John Haynes and Mr. Richard Pedraza, of the Veterans of Foreign Wars address our meeting.
Mr. Haynes is the state director for the State of Florida VFW for Scouting program.
It is part of a nation wide program for the VFW to Help Scouting units through sponsorship of
Scouting units or chartering new units. The offer an Eagle Scout recognition program at each
post, that can move up to state awards and on to a national award
There are applications available from your local VFW posts. BSATroops is trying to add the
application as a PDF file and will keep you posted.
